Rackin' & Packin'

Whole lotta gear. Nice to look at, a pain to carry. But, if you figure every aid placement is about 4' from the previous, over 160' pitch, your placing 40 pieces (unless of course it's all hooking, in which case you don't "place" anything!)

Then consider that you need a wide variety of sizes because you don't have the option (as in free climbing) of moving higher to find a placement, you end up with triple cams (tcu's, aliens, camalots, offsets, friends), loads of nuts (double standard, offsets, micros, brass), lowe balls, tricams, heads (chisel, brush), hangers, pins (LAs, KBs, angles), hooks (talon, grappling, pointed, split point, sky), and of course your trusty hammer.

Oh, and don't forget all the biners, slings, lockers, aiders, jugs, daisies, pulley's, hauler, screamers.... you get the idea!
