Day 1

Today we got a late start. Met up with Nate early, but by the time we packed the second bag, hiked the talus, jugged the fixed line, docked both bags... We didn't really start climbing til noon.

Nate leading the start of pitch 2.

We fixed to 3 and spent the day sorting out logistics. The actual climbing was easy, but dealing with all the gear, pulley systems, hauling, keeping the ropes from creating a big tangled mess...

So, here we are in the lodge cafeteria refueling. Tomorrow we leave the ground at first light. Goal is to do 4 to 5 pitches.

It's been cold especially at night. I had to upgrade my sleeping bag. Tonight's forecast is 16! Warming over the next few days.

The little blurb on The Zodiac says there are no natural ledges on which to sleep. So, where do you sleep; when it's 16 degrees?!
